About Tiara Rodriguez
Tiara Rodriguez is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in Arizona; Offering Virtual Therapy and Accepting New Clients.
Welcome — I’m Tiara
Have you been carrying so much for so long that you're no longer sure what it feels like to truly feel at peace?
Do you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from yourself, even though you're doing everything you can just to keep going?
If so, you're not alone—and you don't have to carry it all by yourself anymore.
I know reaching out for therapy can feel like a vulnerable first step. Whether you're navigating the effects of trauma, struggling with anxiety, experiencing a difficult life transition, or simply feeling that something inside no longer feels quite right, I'm honored you're here.
My goal is to create a space where you can slow down, take a deep breath, and feel genuinely heard. Together, we'll explore what's been weighing on you with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment. Therapy isn't about "fixing" you—it's about helping you better understand yourself, reconnect with your strengths, and move toward the life you want to live.
I believe healing happens when we feel emotionally safe enough to be our authentic selves. My role is to walk alongside you as we make sense of your experiences, build emotional resilience, and gently create lasting change at a pace that feels right for you and your nervous system.
My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and deeply client-centered. I integrate evidence-based psychotherapy with an understanding of how trauma, attachment experiences, and chronic stress can affect both the mind and body. Together, we'll work toward helping you feel more grounded, connected, and empowered in your daily life.
I work with adolescents and adults who are navigating:
Trauma and Complex PTSD
Anxiety and chronic stress
Depression
Attachment and relationship challenges
Self-worth and identity concerns
Life transitions
Emotional overwhelm and nervous system dysregulation
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and deeply caring individuals who still find themselves feeling stuck or disconnected despite their best efforts. Therapy offers a place to gently understand these patterns, strengthen your inner resources, and create meaningful, sustainable healing.

Why I Became a Therapist
People often ask what inspired me to become a therapist. The answer is both personal and professional.
Like many people, I've experienced seasons of life that challenged my sense of stability, identity, and direction. Those experiences taught me that healing isn't simply about making difficult feelings disappear—it's about learning to understand ourselves with greater compassion, rebuilding a sense of safety, and discovering that growth is possible even after life's hardest moments.
As I moved through my own healing journey, I became deeply interested in understanding how trauma, relationships, and the nervous system shape the way we experience ourselves and the world around us. I saw firsthand that healing isn't something we have to achieve alone—it often happens within safe, supportive relationships where we feel seen, understood, and accepted.
Those experiences inspired me to pursue a career in counseling and dedicate my work to helping others navigate their own paths toward healing. Every person's story is unique, and I believe therapy should honor that individuality. My role isn't to have all the answers, but to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and respect as we make sense of your experiences together.
Over the years, my passion for trauma-informed care has continued to grow through my clinical work with adolescents and adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional overwhelm. Supporting clients as they reconnect with themselves, strengthen their resilience, and create lasting change is one of the greatest privileges of my work.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: healing is possible. Even when life feels overwhelming or you've been carrying pain for a long time, meaningful change can happen. You don't have to face those challenges alone, and I would be honored to support you as you move toward greater peace, connection, and hope.
How I Work
My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in trauma-informed care. I tailor each session to your unique needs, recognizing that every person's healing journey is different.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT)
Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed approaches

My Education, Credentials & Professional Training
My goal is to provide care that is both compassionate and grounded in current research and best clinical practices. I believe learning never stops, and I continue to deepen my knowledge so I can offer clients the highest quality of trauma-informed care.
I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University after completing my Master of Arts in Psychology at Northcentral University. My graduate training provided a strong foundation in assessment, diagnosis, evidence-based treatment, ethics, and culturally responsive care.
I am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in Arizona and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and much of my continuing education focuses on understanding how trauma impacts the brain, body, relationships, and nervous system.
My clinical training includes evidence-based approaches such as:
Trauma-Informed Psychotherapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
Internal Family Systems (IFS)-Informed Therapy
Attachment-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-Based Interventions
Somatic-Informed Approaches to Nervous System Regulation
Client-Centered and Relational Therapy
Culturally Responsive Counseling
I believe every client deserves care that is individualized rather than "one-size-fits-all." I continue to expand my knowledge through ongoing professional development so I can integrate the most effective, evidence-based approaches into our work together while honoring your unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
Outside the Office
Outside of therapy, I value the practices that help me stay grounded, present, and connected. I enjoy spending time outdoors, walking and exploring nature, reading books that deepen my understanding of psychology and personal growth, and creating space for quiet reflection.
These moments help me stay connected to the same values I bring into therapy—curiosity, compassion, authenticity, and the belief that meaningful healing often begins with slowing down and simply being present.
I also believe that caring for our own well-being allows us to show up more fully for the people and experiences that matter most. This perspective continues to shape both my personal life and my work with clients every day.
