About Compassionate Healing Psychotherapy & Consultation (CHPC)
Our Mission
At Compassionate Healing Psychotherapy & Consultation (CHPC), we are devoted to creating a healing space where individuals, couples, and families from all backgrounds feel seen, heard, and supported. We believe in the profound resilience of the human spirit and the capacity for healing, growth, and transformation when met with compassion, attunement, and safety.
Our mission is simple yet powerful:
To help you come home to yourself.
We are here to guide, support, and walk alongside you as you move through the impacts of trauma, emotional pain, and disconnection—and toward a life of authenticity, groundedness, and inner wholeness.
How CHPC Came to Be
CHPC was born from lived experience. Our founder, Iwona Florianowicz, began her path as a therapist through her own journey of surviving and healing from complex trauma, emotional neglect, and relational abuse. Having lived through family dysfunction, cultural transition, and identity disintegration, Iwona intimately understands the silent ache of feeling unseen, the chaos of trauma stored in the body, and the long road of rebuilding safety and trust.
Through her healing and professional training, it became clear that trauma is often misdiagnosed, misunderstood, or missed altogether—especially for those whose experiences don’t fit neatly into a diagnostic box. This realization sparked a deeper calling: to build a trauma-informed practice that honors the full complexity of human experience, where clients are not pathologized but deeply understood.
As Iwona worked across countries, systems, and communities, she saw a growing, unmet need for therapists who could truly hold space for complex trauma, cultural displacement, identity integration, and relational abuse—especially for those who’ve felt invisible in traditional settings. CHPC was created to meet that need: a practice rooted in both clinical expertise and deep human understanding.
Who We Serve
At CHPC, we welcome adolescents, adults, couples, families and LGBTQ+ individuals from all walks of life. Our clients are often navigating:
Complex PTSD (C-PTSD) and early attachment trauma
Emotional neglect and abandonment
Narcissistic, covert, or antagonistic abuse
Relationship pain and communication struggles
Anxiety, depression, and dissociation
Cultural identity, intergenerational trauma, and immigration-related stress
High sensitivity, identity loss, and emotional overwhelm
We understand that trauma is not always one event — it can be chronic, relational, or even invisible to others — and we’re here to honor the nuances of your experience.

We use a deeply trauma-informed, integrative approach tailored to each person’s unique story, nervous system, and healing pace. Our clinicians are trained in a range of evidence-based and somatic modalities, including:

We don't believe in "fixing" you. We believe in walking beside you as you learn to feel safe in your body, trust your intuition, and reconnect with the parts of you that were silenced by trauma.
A Place of Belonging
CHPC was built on the belief that healing is not about perfection — it's about presence. We offer a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without shame or judgment. Here, all of your emotions, identities, and experiences are welcome.
Whether you're just beginning your healing journey or returning to do deeper work, we’re here to support you — gently, respectfully, and wholeheartedly.
Looking Ahead
As the need for trauma-informed care continues to grow, we are committed to growing alongside it — offering not only psychotherapy but also consultation, education, and supervision to clinicians and organizations. Our vision is to continue expanding access to meaningful, inclusive, and relationally rooted healing work that honors both clinical knowledge and lived experience.
